EDITORIAL DESIGN

EDITORIAL 0.1

Editorial design has always been a passion of mine, allowing me to combine storytelling with visual creativity. From creating small, experimental editorial books about eggs, where I explored texture and layout, to designing publications for exhibitions I’ve curated, I love how editorial design brings concepts to life in a cohesive and engaging way. Each project allows me to delve into the details of composition, typography, and imagery, ensuring the narrative is not only told through words but also visually enhanced. This blend of creativity and structure drives my passion for editorial design, always pushing me to explore new formats and design solutions.

COLOURS OF EXPRESSION:

Giving Voice Through Art

I curated a publication showcasing an exhibition that highlighted the therapeutic value of art lessons, with a focus on how art therapy can play a significant role in mental health recovery. Through this project, I aimed to spread awareness about the powerful impact art can have on emotional healing and personal growth. By featuring various art lessons designed with therapeutic intentions, I wanted to illustrate how creative expression can be a vital tool in mental health recovery. This exhibition not only served to educate the public on the benefits of art therapy but also offered a space for individuals to connect with the healing potential of art and understand its crucial role in fostering well-being.

NEW WAYS TO SEE

I created a publication exploring new ways the neurodiverse brain can see, focusing on a dyslexia-friendly activity book. This project was born out of my own struggles to find a fun and engaging resource that catered to dyslexia throughout my education. As a passionate advocate for raising awareness about dyslexia, I wanted to design a book that not only supports diverse learning styles but also makes the learning process enjoyable. By incorporating unique layouts and interactive activities, I aimed to create something that would help others, like myself, feel empowered in their learning journey while challenging traditional methods and embracing new ways to learn.
